Paul and Renee Martinez both retired with 20 + years with the Colorado Department of Corrections. Paul additionally worked 17 years as security for Pueblo District 60 and 26 years at the Colorado State Fair. He has also worked the last 14 years for Alfonso Tactical Security. Paul has been entrusted with Pueblo Community’s security needs for the last 26 years. The security of your event is our priority and we take your safety seriously.

The vast majority of security guards at MarTech Security Specialists (MSS) are former or current employees of Colorado Department of Corrections. Others are current or former employees of Colorado Mental Health Institute and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Other security guards have extensive experience in controlling large populations at the Colorado State Fair. Through various federal and state programs, they receive training that includes but is not limited to first aid, professionalism, fire and life safety, diversity and sensitivity, sexual harassment and use of force. Paul Martinez

Co-Owner and COO

Paul, a U.S. Navy Veteran, served as an Officer with the Colorado Department of Corrections for 26 years. Paul has simultaneously gained experience while working security at the Colorado State Fair for 26 years, for District 60 in Pueblo for 17 years, for District 70 for 5 years and with Alfonso Tactical Security for 14 years. In 2020, Paul became co-owner and COO at MarTech Security where he applies his expertise to their security services.

Renee Martinez, BSN

Co-Owner and CEO

Renee worked as Registered Nurse within the Pueblo Community for 30 years, at the Colorado Department of Corrections for 20 years. In the span of her career, she was promoted to Administration as a Health Services Administrator, learning many aspects of security and business until she retired in 2011. Renee has been an entrepreneur of several businesses and in 2020, Renee became co-owner and CEO of MarTech Security with her husband, Paul.
